This looks like a lot of fun: http://www.zelda.com/universe/game/spirittracks/index.jsp
I wish I was more motivated to write on this subject, but I’ll just say the last Zelda game for DS was great. Hopefully, this follows suit.
The point of this post is to see a sort of evolution (musically). It starts with a a great song by MGMT entitled Kids. Then it goes to a rap song that samples it, which sounds awesome. Lastly, I have a video that I posted earlier where the song is sampled again, but with less editing. I think that it is really cool to see all of these songs together and to hear the power of music tech.
First, listen to the original (or at least some of it):
Next, listen to this rap song made by a small group from Philly:
Finally, remember this video I shared earlier of David Bowie mixed with the first song:
This is no “I’m on a Boat”, but the clear mockery of hip-hop, especially Rick Ross, is hilarious.
Dan, I’m sorry Akismet Spam filter has been owning some great comments you have made. Hopefully, this stops being the case in the near future. Specifically, I think you’re comment on the “Keeping Busy” post was particularly good.
I whole-heartedly agree that homework is not 100% efficient, even today I found myself refreshing my inbox repeatedly, substantially slowing down my reading. It may be a long night.
(Also, I think your site is down.)
First win of the season! Twins 6 – Mariners 5 @ the Metrodome.
I was a little nervous in the last inning, but they did it! Picked up 3 runs with Casilla batting in the final run. 1-1, let’s get this season going. (Sadly the White Sox also won).
Raptr is a website and a program that integrates features of social networking sites and gaming. On the social networking front this includes Facebook and Twitter. On the gaming front, it can recognize any game (to my knowledge). Specifically, it can link to WoW characters, Steam IDs, Xbox Live, and Wii.
The obvious advantage to this is having information about what games your friends are playing and when. For instance, if I see someone logging onto play Halo, I could start up my Xbox and join the same game. Similarly, if someone was on Steam playing TF2, I could join the game. Raptr informs other social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter (if you enable them) that you are playing a game, so people who are your friends on those sites can see. Recently, Steam friends has been much improved, Raptr functions to act as a cross-platform integrator.
I’ve only been experimenting with it for a few days and have no friends on it yet, but I think it is worth checking out if you play any sort of video game. The disadvantage is having another app running on your computer.
Wow, well I hope you enjoyed the past few days videos, including an appearance by T-Pain. Today moved pretty slow, probably due to having a little too much fun last night. Yesterday was beautiful, but the weather took a turn of the worse today.
It might snow again! I’m ready for spring.
